Oral, Dental, Maxillofacial Diseases and Surgery is a branch of surgery that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, injuries and deformities related to the mouth, teeth and jaws.
Damaged teeth due to caries or fractures are treated by the dentist with filler, crown or other method of treatment. But sometimes the damage to the tooth is of a very large size, and the tooth becomes incurable. Therefore, the tooth needs to be pulled out.
Your medical and dental history is learned by your dentist. X-ray is taken in order to make the best plan for the extraction of the tooth. If all buried teeth will be taken, panoramic X-ray can be taken where all teeth can be seen.
Cyst Operation (Apical Resection)
In cysts that cover the larger part of the jaw, another method is most often applied. The mucosa is removed by opening, in such a way that together with the periost the entire cyst area is exposed.
Since most often there is fluid in the cyst, the cyst cavity is carefully washed and cleaned. Then the removed part is deposited into the cyst cavity and fixed in it with the help of an antiseptic tampon. When the gums deposited in this cavity stagnate, the tampon is removed.
